Henley Royal Regatta 2026 - Two Remote Productions, One Event

2026-07-08 Henley-on-Thames

Iconic events are too rich for one feed

For rights holders, that is both the challenge and the opportunity! 🔥 We firmly believe the future belongs to events that can create more stories, more formats, more audience entry points and more commercial value from the same live moment. Henley Royal Regatta is such an event.

With just shy of 100 races per day, the main broadcast quite rightly had to stay focused on the competition. But Henley is so much more than racing. It is heritage, atmosphere, pressure, personality and an entire world of stories around the river. So we designed a production model around that. To unlock creative freedom. ⚡

Alongside the main broadcast, we created The Progress Board, a daily lunchtime show developed with Henley and Junior Rowing News to bring audiences closer to the people, stories and culture behind the racing.

Two Next Generation Remote Productions

Behind that creative ambition sat a very deliberate production architecture. We didn't run one remote production. We ran two... ✌️ One powering the main broadcast. The second powering The Progress Board. Two next generation remote productions working alongside each other to create one unified content ecosystem around the event.

That is The LIMITLESS Way. Not remote production as a compromise, but as the gateway to freedom. A smarter, agile, and future-facing way to produce live sport.

Henley 2026 featured chase boats, remotely operated cameras, private 5G, AI superslow, digital-first clipping, social storytelling, a floating river studio (yes!), bespoke on-screen timing, refreshed graphics, commentator cameras, two jibs, drone, VTs, features, openers, closers and properly ambitious creative ideas.

What the Technology Makes Possible

But the technology was never the point... The point is always what the technology makes possible. More space for stories. More ways for audiences to connect emotionally. More value from the same live event.

For rights holders, brands and in-house production teams, that is the shift. Production is no longer the mechanism for coverage. It is the architecture for audience growth, storytelling, brand value and commercial return. That is what Limitless is built for.

A huge thank you to our collaborators and partners who joined our mission from day one, and every single person across the wider team who worked so hard to bring this to life. This is The Limitless Way. Storytelling without limits.
